I'm surprised that no one else has reviewed Elite? They are a two person partnership, made up of past mechanics who worked at Mercedes of Laguna Niguel. I only found them maybe five years ago when we moved into So. OC.
In five years, and for a short period when our E-430 was still under warranty, I started bringing it in for the scheduled A and B services. I've also done out of warranty repairs too. In each and every case, their repair costs have been as much as 1/2 dealership, and their speed and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing our vehicle has been quick and effective.
If you own a Mercedes that's still under warranty, you can certainly do your scheduled maintenance at this shop; just save your paperwork. And absolutely, if it's out of warranty, you'll be given the best options and prices for repair. In the last five years they've done our brakes, replaced one of the catalytic converters, and replaced the brake light switch that's mechanically linked to the pedal. When it goes, you get a number of error signals, including the recurring BAS ESP lights.
Although I don't like using the term.... they really are CHEAPER than any dealer, and equal or better than other independent shops. I did check the area, and found Elite had the best reputation for aftermarket repairs. Sort of like that line about our physicians....... "You gotta try my mechanic, he's the best!" (this, of course, infers that yours is a "jackass", right?)”
